Project Management Application for stock photography projects

A hosted (SaaS) stock-photography services between contractors, photographers and customers built for "Hollandse Hoogte", one of Netherlands' leading stock photography firm

The application enables each of the parties involved to keep track of the project and status along with the history of project. There are three types of users:

1. Broker –  owner of the account
2. Client –  Customer of the broker. Looking for photographs
3. Photographer – Who shoots and supplies photographs for the project.

About the Project:

The broker can add his list of photographers and the customers to the application. The client can upload projects with timelines and description. Based on the clients requirements and specifications, the Broker assigns the photographer to the project.

The Photographer accepts the project and uploads the raw unprocessed version of the photographs for customers approval.  On approval, the photographer further processes the images and makes the final upload. Once the customer approves the final images/potographs. The project is considered completed and closed.

The project has been implemented in LAMP environment with TYPO3 Content Management System.

Key Features of Application:

• Emailers on project creation, status changes, project acceptance, image uploads, image revised version upload.
• Extraction of EXIF data from the images
• Customer and Customer's accounts information, with projects managed by each contact of the customer.
• Photographers projects information.
• Photographer can maintain a stock of photos and also provide it to customer for review and download.
• AJAXified photographs detail viewing and batch selection and approval of photographs though drag and drop functionality
• Maintain different photograph quality. Ex: 72 dpi, 300 dpi etc., The application automatically processes the large format of the photograph to the different sizes and also generates thumbnails for quick browsing.
• Download of shortlisted photographs in “.zip” format. The zip file is generated on the fly.
