Moving to Open Source
Srijan helps organizations and businesses move from proprietary to open source software. This is a natural consequence of our belief in the benefits to be gained from adopting the open source way of developing software. Our beliefs stem from a fundamental understanding that the open source software movement is one that requires collaboration for the common good rather than consumption for the benefit of a few or exploitation of somebody else's efforts. Cost benefits are usually uppermost in most customers' minds when they consider moving to open source software. Srijan, while addressing this concern, also encourages its customers to value the other benefits of becoming part of the open source software movement.
Our engagement with our customers hinges on enabling them to become a part of the open source world. We do this is a couple of ways - we attempt to include clauses that allow us to contribute code back to the projects that we use to build a customer's solution and educate our customers to involve themselves with events related to the open source projects that they use.
Srijan has in the past, helped organizations migrate from diverse platforms such as .NET, windows Active directory and the Oracle suite to equally (if not more) capable open source alternatives.
Talk to us today if you are considering moving to open source.
